                                                                  Jennifer Paquet

Q. What made you want to join the Integrate Arts Festival Planning Committee?

A. I joined Integrate last year after hearing about the festival in one of my art history classes at UVIC. I had just moved to the island from Toronto, and I was eager to meet people in the Victoria art community. I also really wanted to get to know my new city, and I thought Integrate was the perfect way to do both. I loved planning the festival so much, I'm back again this year!

Q. What book is on your nightstand?

A. I always have a book of Charles Bukowski's poems on my nightstand! My current bedtime companion is: The Pleasures of the Damned.

Q. What is the yummiest thing in your fridge right now?

A. There is a bottle of Phillips Sparkmouth ginger ale calling my name... I can't refuse it.

Q. Favourite song?:

A. Pitseleh by Elliott Smith. I have such a soft spot for this man, and his music - he is greatly missed.

Q. Coffee or tea?

A. Tea & tea lattes! If you're a tea lover and you have a chance to get out to Sooke, go to The Stick in the Mud and order their London Fog. SO. GOOD. I'm also really into their vanilla rooibos tea!

                                                                                              Erica Bloom

Q. What made you want to join the Integrate Arts Festival Planning Committee?

A. I joined the integrate planning committee last year as a way to keep involved in the arts after I graduated from my art history degree and then I had such a great time with the festival that I just had to do it again this year.

Q. What book is on your nightstand?

A. Right now I have the Best of Bridge and Joy of Cooking cookbooks and a book on understanding China's role in the global sphere in the 21st century.  So I like to read recipes before bed and I'm learning as much as I can about China before i move there to teach English in the fall.

Q. What is your favourite spot in Victoria?

A. My favourite spot in Victoria is the Inner Harbour.  In the off season it's so pleasant to be near the water and in the tourist season I love feeling like a local.  Also anywhere near the ocean is pretty fantastic

Q. Coffee or tea?

A. Coffee

Q. Where are you from?

A. I am from Kamloops BC. I have been living here for the last five years and I miss it actually being hot during the summer and lakes but I love it not being cold during the winter and more beaches and art and music and great people!

Q. What inspires you?

A. Seeing people get excited about things inspires me.  I love introducing people to things and having them fall absolutely in love with it.  I love getting people to look at the world in just a bit different way then they would before.  I love being challenged to do these things too.  You should always try something at least once before you decide it's not for you and I love getting people to do that and doing it myself.

Please draw us a picture of your most favourite artwork of all time:

My drawing is Ingres, Bather , 1806 - My favourite painting of all time.  I saw it for the first time last summer when I was in Paris and I was looking at another Ingres and when I turned around it was right there so I started bawling because it suprised me.

                                                                                                     Andrea Kuipers

Q. What made you want to join the Integrate Arts Festival Planning Committee?

A. Because it is a fun opportunity to learn more about art festivals/fairs, and especially what goes on behind the scenes to make them happen.

Q. What book is on your nightstand?

A. “Beyond Belfast” by Will Ferguson.

Q. What is the yummiest thing in your fridge right now?

A. Organic oranges.

Q. Tell us a joke:

A. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson go camping.  During the night, Holmes wakes Watson and says “Look up and tell me what you see”.  Watson answers “I see millions of stars, Holmes”.  Holmes asks “And what can we infer from that?” Watson grumbles “Well, if we can see millions of stars, there are probably even more stars that we can’t see and so we are just a small part of the entire universe”.  Holmes shakes his head “No, Watson, it means someone stole our tent”!

Q. Coffee or tea?

A. Tea...unless the coffee is in a mocha!
