Gallery Feature: The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria

The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is a longstanding foundation of Victoria's thriving arts community. The AGGV originally opened in 1951 and has since acquired more than 18,000 works of art culminating the largest public art collection in British Columbia. A heritage architectural masterpiece, the original mansion gallery space now houses art rental and sales, the gallery gift shop and administration offices on the second floor. The additional 7 modern galleries that were added between 1955-1978 offer a wide range of high caliber public programming that includes both the impressive Canadian, national and Asian collection items as well as cutting edge contemporary exhibitions.

In support of the 8th Annual Integrate Arts Festival, the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is offering free admission on Saturday, August 16th! The gallery grounds will also be host to final stop of the Integrate Bike Tour and to the Fantatico Great Giffoni who will be performing a thrilling magic display at 3:00pm.
