Gallery Feature: Legacy Art Gallery
Legacy Art Gallery is the downtown location of the University of Victoria's gallery line-up. UVIC boasts some 27,000 art objects in the permanent collection that are shown between two gallery locations, downtown and the Maltwood on campus. Legacy downtown is located in the heart of downtown on the corner of Yates and Broad in a beautiful historic building.
The current exhibit at Legacy is Epiphany: Highlights from the Legacy Permanent Collection and features work by Robert Davidson, Emily Carr, Norval Morrisseau, Lawren Harris, Frederick Varley, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Myfannwy Pavelic, Robert Rauschenberg, and Jack Shadbolt, among others.
